Liquefied natural gas, or LNG, is made from the same natural gas you use for cooking and heating in your home every day. We produce LNG by cooling natural gas to -162 C so it can be used as a fuel for trucks and ships, or exported to communities overseas.

LNG has many uses and is one of the safest fuels to transport. We talked to Brent, a member of FortisBC’s LNG education and outreach team to find out what’s unique about LNG.

This is a footnote

“At FortisBC, we’ve been working safely with LNG for more than 40 years,” said Brent, a member of the LNG education and outreach team. “It really is an exciting time to be working in LNG with all the different new ways we’re using this fuel.”

Brent travels throughout BC doing live demonstrations and presentations to explain what LNG is, how it’s made and how it interacts with air, water and soil.
